How to regularly clean your Husqvarna Automower®

It is important to keep your Automower® clean for the best performance and a long service life. A mower with a lot of clippings attached also handles slopes poorly. It is recommended to clean it using a brush, spraying with water, or use a damp cloth. Never use a high-pressure washer, or solvent, when cleaning your Husqvarna Automower®.

Checklist for cleaning your Husqvarna Automower®

  1. Set the main switch in the OFF position
  2. Wear protective gloves
  3. Turn the Automower® upside down
  4. Use your hand to remove chunks of clippings
  5. Use a dishwashing brush to remove clippings from the skid plate, wheels, body etc.
  6. Flip the Automower® to get rid of the loose clippings.
  7. Use a damp cloth and, if necessary, a mild soap solution to clean the chassis, body, panel etc.
    Please note!     Do not use running water unless you have an Automower® 305 (2020-), 310 Mark II, 315 Mark II, 405X or 415X — these are models that can be cleaned with a garden hose, both on the chassis and the body (see below).
  8. Use Automower® Care & Shine spray to polish the plastic details.
  9. Make sure to get a thorough, professional cleaning at your dealer’s after each season.

Cleaning the charging station

Clean the charging station regularly.

  1. Disconnect the power supply unit.
  2. Clean any grass, leaves. twigs or other objects that may impede docking from the charging station.
  3. Use a damp cloth and, if necessary, a mild soap solution to clean the surface of the charging station.
    Please note! Never use a high-pressure washer or running water to clean the charging station. Do not use solvents for cleaning.
  4. Clean the charging and contact plates using a fine grade emery cloth.
  5. Use Automower® Care & Shine spray to polish the plastic details.

Easy cleaning — Automower® model 305 (2020–), 310 Mark II, 315 Mark II, 405X and 415X

If you have Automower® model 305 (2020–), 310 Mark II, 315 Mark II, 405X or 415X, you can wash the exterior and underneath of your robotic lawn mower with a garden hose. Do not wash the charging station with a garden hose.

By using the maintenance tool provided, the body can easily be removed, for easy cleaning and access everywhere.

Automower® Cleaning & Maintenance kit makes cleaning and maintaining your Automower® robotic lawn mower easy.

Included:

  • Two special brushes, one has a very slim and steep shape and the other is a small brush with a scraper for removing grass and dirt.
  • One screwdriver for changing cutting blades.
  • One abrasive pad to clean the connectors on the mower and charging station.
  • One towel.
  • One bottle of Automower® Care & Shine spray to make plastic parts shiny.
